Del Toro's The Strain book review

Ok people this is my first book review for the blog.

I have just finished Del Toro's (director of hell boy and Pan's Labyrinth) first novel with author Chuck Hogan.

The Strain is the first in a trilogy of books in the vampire horror sub genre, and as a horror fan AND a writer of vampire fiction myself, i really enjoyed it.
The book took a fresh stab at the vampire legend and set the scene for the next book that comes out in 2010. The character Eph is shown very well as a caring doctor and father thrown into a world that he can not believe. The team at the books end is a mixture of normal everyday people ready for the ulltimate battle.

Welcome to my dark world

hello there blog fans, myn name is Mark and i am a soon to be published author. My first book, which is released Halloween 2009 is titled 'The Horror Film Quiz Book' and was co-written by Chris Cowlin of apex publishing.

I am currently working on my first novel called 'Scars of the Reaper' which is the first in the Mark Cobra vampire trilogy. i am also writing a series of teenage fiction books current titled Tooth and Claw.

So why did i decided to write blogs which involves reviews and info on my books? well....why not?
As a film fan and bookseller at a major book selling company, i send my time writing reviews. i am also writing reviews for a few magazines.
